Baby pictures only get you so far...

So apparently the constant barrage of adorable Griffin pictures aren't enough for you people. You want actual words and sentences that convey information. High maintenance. That's what you are.

High. Maintenance.

Well, let's see. As many of you already know, I am teaching a class at West Kentucky Community and Technical College this semester. I am teaching Introduction to Business Law to about 20 students - mostly upperclassmen. I've had four real classes so far (the first class I just passed out the syllabus) and it's been going really well. I have about 4 or 5 good talkers so I'm not always rambling on without any input. They seem to be pretty interested in the legal process and ask good questions about the material. My lectures are usually right on target for the amount of time I have and I haven't gone over or come up short yet.

I'm also really enjoying being in an office again with real live coworkers with whom I can carry on conversations. I even got invited to an office trivia night! I told my boss as long as someone can cover sports trivia we should squash the competition.

The class has also been a good way to lean into my Bar studying. Ugh. I can't believe I have to do this again and every time the reality slaps me in the face again I get a little depressed. I really don't want to do this again.

Let me repeat. I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN.

But alas some jerk was having a bad day and failed my essay section by 3 points so now I have to relearn Administrative Law, Agency, Civil Procedure, Commercial Paper, Conflicts of Law, Corporations, Con Law, Contracts, Crim Law, Crim Pro, Evidence, Family Law, Property, Secured Transaction, Torts, Trusts, and Wills. See why I'm so bummed?

I retake the essay section on February 23. Wish me luck.

Nicholas has been crazy busy at work recently. Working after he gets home at nights and most weekends. I told him I don't know where my family friendly firm went but I want it back! ;)

Griffin is doing great. He's a little sick right now but I think we're over the hump. He's very talkative and has several consonants in his repertoire including d, b, l, r, s, and t. Alas still no m's much to me and Mimi's chagrin. He also shows absolutely no interest in crawling. Sitting seems to serve him just fine. I am wondering if he might skip straight to walking as he has recently been trying to pull himself up on the walls of his baby jail. We shall see.

So that's about it for now...back to the baby pics!
