Fun in the sun

Sunning himself...in the shade - don't worry! ;)

Day 82

This is Griffin's new favorite position. I think we can safely say he's discovered his hands. He will pull out his pacifier so he can suck on his fists. Not his thumb - his fist. It's actually kind of gross because he makes all these smacking sounds and drools everywhere but it's also exciting because I feel like it's the first preference he's exerted.

Day 81

"Are you seriously going to take my picture EVERY day?"

The Kitchen

The kitchen was also finished recently thanks to the valiant efforts of my stepfather Ron. He built us the awesome island in the middle, which fills up the space perfectly. He's really on a roll after the bookshelf in the nursery and no, you cannot borrow him. :)

The Dining Room

Another room is complete!

The dining room was one of the big reasons we bought this house. Ever since we decided to move home, I've had big visions of family dinners at my house on Sundays after church. This rooms screamed Sunday dinner with it's huge size and proximity to the kitchen.

Unfortunately, our little Ikea table was going to be dwarfed by the large room so one of our first purchases upon moving home was dining room furniture. My aunt found this amazing set on Craigslist for insanely cheap. I absolutely love its mid-century modern feel and it fits the room perfectly. The table is going to be great for big family dinners because it can seat up to ten.

I owe a big thank you to my mom for my beautiful drapes and my stepdad for hanging the curtain rod, his least favorite home improvement project. As always, thanks also goes to my Aunt Lana for helping me design the room. You should all get yourself an interior designer as an Aunt. I highly recommend it. :)

The Baby Files

The Baby Files from hollandnm on Vimeo.

Here are a bunch of videos I've taken over the past couple of months. I hereby absolve myself of all liability if you just plain old keel over and die from the preciousness. :)

Day 75

Mema and Andrea threw me a surprise birthday lunch today! I haven't had a surprise party since I turned 16. We had cupcakes and candles and the whole shebang. It really made my whole week and I can't thank them enough.

We're done!!!!

No more lectures! No more Barbri! No more studying! YIPEE!

Day 74

Griffin was an amazing travel companion on his first road trip ever. He slept most of the time and really only cried when Papa Ron deigned to stop at stop lights. (Silly Papa Ron!)

Here he is getting a bottle on the go.

Day 73

We went out to Lynn's Paradise Cafe for my birthday after the first day of the Bar. It was great to spend the evening with our close friends and the food was great. If only, I didn't have to take 200 multiple choice questions the next day.

Day 72

Today was a big day for Griffin. He got to meet our dear friends Annie and Kyle along with their baby Collin. Annie and I got pregnant about 10 weeks apart and it's been so wonderful to share such a life changing event with two people we love so much.

So, pretty much Collin and Griffin have to be best friends forever. They don't have a choice :)

They both seemed very excited to see each other. So much so they both promptly feel asleep. :)

P.S. Below is photographic evidence of what happens when you decide to clone your husband as opposed to reproducing like normal people. ;)

I mean COME ON!
